Our Thoughts

We love, love, LOVE this book! It is such a bundle of loveliness, wrapped in such a beautifully attractive jacket! I’m actually quite tempted not to let anyone else touch its pages!

The text rhymes gloriously and it is far too easy to get all wrapped up in. Teddies, trees, cherries and tractors – each page has something new. The text describes each page and asks the reader to explore the pages and identify what is the odd thing out in each illustration.

The illustrations are so eye catching like they were just made for eager exploring eyes. So much colour and so much charm.… Read more >>>

From award-winning author Angela Slatter comes her first full length novel, VIGIL, where the normal and the ‘weyrd’ combine on the streets of Brisbane.

Verity Fassbinder has her feet in two worlds. As such a rarity, she is charged with keeping the peace between both races, and ensuring the Weyrd remain hidden from us.

But now Sirens are dying, illegal wine made from the tears of human children is for sale – and in the hands of those Weyrd who hold with the old ways – and someone has released an unknown and terrifyingly destructive force on the streets of Brisbane.… Read more >>>
