10 Random Things about Gravity

I had always wanted to use the amazing (and real!) Avrocar in the first IRON FIST book, but knew Gravity was the book it needed to appear in. So if you carefully read Iron Fist, you’ll see it made a cameo appearance and is hidden away under a canvas in the corner…

I had a friend who had a form of synaesthesia, the condition that Dev has. It helped him become a really good musician.

As a writer I believe in research, so always try to visit the locations used in my books – if possible. I thoroughly enjoyed Japan, the entire country belongs in the hi-tech Inventory!

The Inventory originally popped into my mind as a television show and I worked on that for a while before deciding that it would make a terrific MG series!

I am a tech geek and always seem to end up with the latest technology… which then often doesn’t get used months later…

A lot of the tech in the Inventory is based on real world technology. Even the iono-engines in the first book really work… although on a smaller scale.

A major secret in Iron Fist’s original ending made its way into this new book… but then got pushed into book three. Even I don’t know when it will be revealed!

There are clues in this book… which won’t become obvious until the next book. Sorry about that!

Twice now I have written a big action sequence in both Inventory books, only to see something similar months later in a trailer of an upcoming movie. Great minds think alike!

My original intention was to make Lot the main character, but the powers that be decided it best if it was a boy. That’s why she seems the best suited to be living amongst the dangers of the Inventory!
