From the author of the popular Weather Warden series comes the debut of an exciting new series set in Morganville, Texas, where you would be well advised to avoid being out after dark.
College freshman Claire Danvers has had enough of her nightmarish dorm situation. When Claire heads off-campus, the imposing old house where she finds a room may not be much better. Her new roommates don’t show many signs of life, but they’ll have Claire’s back when the town’s deepest secrets come crawling out, hungry for fresh blood. Will she be able to face the town’s terror or will she drown like everyone else?

I had read Glass Houses before….years and years ago…but the details were rather sketchy. After hearing it was going to be made into a T.V. series I just had to dive into the world again before seeing it on T.V.
I really love Morganville, it’s a strange and very eerie small town where nothing is quite as it seems. Daylight can be deadly, but you definitely don’t want to stay out after dark… Claire Denvers learns these things the hard way…
Claire is a really great heroine, who is outrageously smart and very likeable. Starting college in Morganville is a nightmare for her, she is bullied by super bitch Monica and her friends. They step things up and physically attack Claire, who manages to run to the safe confines of the Glass House.
The Glass House really is quite awesome. It seems to have a mind of its own. Claire meets a great trio of friends who live there, but they all seem to be hiding their own dark secrets…
The action rages throughout this storyline and I just couldn’t look away. There were also so many big twists and shocking turns. I never knew what would happen next and I loved that.
Glass Houses is a kick-ass first book in a best-selling series. The characters are an interesting mix of cool (personal fav Michael). The world building is dark and inviting but lacks believability at times. I can’t wait to delve back into Morganville again!
