Monster High – Ghoulfriends Forever by Gitty Daneshvari

Summary from Goodreads

Ghoulfriends Forever is a brand-new Monster High series, introducing three new monster characters. As new students, the trio must navigate the bewildering array of cute monster boys, established cliques, and monster-rific subjects like Mad Science, G-ogre-phy, and Physical Deaducation. As if that weren’t hard enough, something strange and sinister seems to be happening at the school. Popular girls like Frankie Stein and Cleo de Nile are acting weird-and all signs point to everyone’s new favorite teacher, Miss Sylphia Flapper. Can the new GFFs expose the fave as a fraud, or will they succumb to peer pressure?

My Review

Ghoulfriends Forever is a fabulous Monster High book that is full of wit and snark to keep you smiling throughout! I simply adored the illustrations throughout the book, they are Gothic, different, and wonderfully interesting. I’m sure most people will have seen the awesome little Monster High dolls in the shops, well the illustrations are just like them. The storyline is great, full of fun, mystery, action, adventure, a hint of mystery and really great friendships. There is never a dull moment in the book and it is all brought together so fantastically by Gitty Daneshvari who is also the author of the super fun and hilariously funny School of Fear series!

3 Ghouls are starting Monster High for the first time and they instantly strike up a friendship. Rochelle Goyle, Venus McFlytrap and Robecca Steam are flung into adventures from the off and they are not the only newcomers at the school, Miss Flapper is the new dragon whispering teacher. The 3 friends know something fishy is going on when all the other students start acting weird, so they make it their mission to get to the bottom of it, even if it means putting themselves in dangers way….

The ending ties up rather nicely leaving it wide open for more freakish works to come in the future! I thoroughly enjoyed Ghoulfriends Forever and I could easily recommend it to girls everywhere.

4/5 Stars
