Summary from Goodreads
The fifth book in the dark paranormal fantasy series, Eye Of The Storm.
With the king returned after twenty years absent, wolves across the country – even Europe – are coming out of hiding to show their support. And not a moment too soon, for dark shadows from the past are taking centre stage in the lives of the four who lead the Surrey pack.
Is the royal line corrupt? Where do storm-wielders truly come from? And how does an ancient Egyptian mythology fit into the confused present?
As the moon begins to wax once more, answers start to surface. However, they may come too late to save their species from extinction.
The bond between the mated four is stronger than ever; a future worth fighting for is within reach… But The Trident have a new leader – one who will do anything to survive. And the knowledge one old woman harbours could be enough to destroy everything.
Written in British English. Contains scenes of explicit sex and violence that some readers may find disturbing.
Aw, man! I adored this book…I mean I really really loved it! It took me to unexpected places…to the very edge at times. It gave me information that I revelled in and emotion that broke me at times. Most definitely the best in the series so far.
The story delves right back into the dark and very dangerous world that Dianna has masterfully created. Everything is changing and revealing itself at once. The mates are closer than ever and their bonds on an individual level are off the flipping page! My love for Lawrence continues and surprisingly blossoms more with each instalment.
Taylor and Ryan however though…hot damn! They came into their own here and their sizzling electricity was a thing of great beauty. I enjoyed them finally embracing their relationship to it’s fullest form.
Digging into the past can be a tricky business and we see that in this book. Everyone wants info but when it is all said and done it can never be taken back…
I love getting a really good back story but really hate authors that info dump everything out like a hot spewing mess. Dianna has a beautiful ability to delve into the bare bones of her story explaining everything at just the perfect moment to keep you hooked. She reveals, breaks your heart, pulls away then comes back again with more and more. I love her ability for detailing in the very best way.
I’m desperately trying not to reveal anything about this plot. To spoil it in any way would be a crime.
All in all this series has captured me wholly and completely. It is written to the rawest, grittiest and purest form. The characters are larger that life and I genuinely care what happens to them. I’m dying for the final book and also dreading it. I don’t ever want this series to end but on the plus side I can always re-read them all over again.
*Dianna try to go easy on me with the last instalment – NOT!!*
